BOOKS
The South Albertas by Donald Graves. This book is likely the most definitive book ever written about a Canadian Regiment, or any other Regiment for that matter. A top-notch book that is a must-read for anyone interested in the South Alberta Regiment or military matters in general. It details the experiences of a great many of the South Alberta veterans and provides great insight into their campaigns in Europe during the Second World War. Please see the article concerning a reprint of this book on our News Link page.

Century of Service: The History of the South Alberta Light Horse by Donald Graves. This book details the history of the S.A.L.H. Published in the Centennial year of the South Alberta Light Horse and of the Province of Alberta, Century of Service is the exciting story of the volunteers who made their militia regiment a key part of Alberta's heritage and Canada's military history. The S.A.L.H is the successor to the South Alberta Regiment therefore making ownership of both books by Donald Graves a must for anyone interested in Canadian military history.
