Fishing memories

Part of the fun of fishing is the memories associated with it. Memories can be about the “big one that got away’, a weekend with friends, fishing with mom or dad or catching the “big one” or of a particular species of fish.

This page is dedicated to your memories. Dig through those old pictures and submit them to us. It can be a picture of when you were young or of a fond memory that you have about fishing.

Ben's Fishing Memories

(webmaster my bragging rights)

Over the years, I've often taken my two sons fishing. Since 1983, there has been many weekends spent on the water, fishing in the late spring, summer and early fall on the Red River, and ice fishing in the winter on Whitemouth Lake and many other lakes and rivers. But my best memory was that first year ,when each one of my boys caught their first fish. They may not been very big, {both the boys or the fish} but the look on their faces when they landed that fish is a look and a feeling that can never be recaptured. Ben was six and Peter was four that year. Five years later, in 1988, they caught these two beauties ice fishing.
